I must admit that I was hoping I could fade into the background by this time.  Of the two admins brought in to ease into taking over control from me, one seems to have dropped out of the group and the other is rather busy.  So it appears that I'm back to square one... ^^;

So I guess I'll have to scale these city walls and hope I can find what I'm looking for.  I'll have to do more talking with certain people, first, though...

Blessings and peace!

The Christian Comic Arts Society has an online site and Facebook site that's pretty active.  Check it out at www.christiancomicarts.com

I think this group is pretty dead, or nearly so. I have an active group :iconthebibleamidworlds: that accepts Christian anthro artwork, so if anyone is looking for an alternative, you can come here.
I normally wouldn't self-promote, but like I said, there isn't much activity here so I'd like it if people have an alternate option.

Can someone help me out? I can't seem to reconcile being a Christian and a Furry at the same time. I've tried to push it out of my mind, but there's a voice in my head telling me that I can't be both. It tells me, "Your lifestyle is an abomination before God! You claim to be a follower of Christ and yet you revel in your perversion! You deny His creation in you and live in a perverted fantasy realm!" These words come not from the mouths of others, but from within my own mind.

All I want is to be myself. How do you reconcile your faith and you Furry fandom?

Maybe this will help with your furry problem.

If furry is so bad, why are there 4 living creatures in heaven?

I can relate.

I've been drawing furry/anthro art for a good many years now, all, really, because of a dream I had when I was young. I only recently found the fandom, and it's been a wonderful experience and journey. Aroound the same time I found the fandom though, I started having thoughts like yours. "Isn't furry art a defilement and a mockery of the body, which God designed?"
I don't agree with the 'dark side' of the fandom, of course, but that isn't a full reconciliation of my beliefs and my art.
I can't say I have a complete answer for you, but here's something that's been some comfort to me: I've seen that many furries, especially fursuiters, do what they do not just because of the fandom, but because they enjoy bringing smiles to people's faces. Part of the fandom, at least, is a force for good.
Lastly, that dream I had when I was kid, I know it was more than a dream; it was inspiration. God sent it to me, and He did it for a reason. It's done a lot of good in my life, and it's led me to finding a group of people whose beliefs I share, in addition to being furry.

Perhaps the difference is our intention: to what end we are furry. Some people are furry for the sexual perversion and gratification, but others are furry because of the fellowship: because it brings smiles to ours and others' faces. It can give us a purer feeling of happiness and joy.

Adam fell that men might be; and men are that they might have joy. (2 Nephi 2:25)

I admit, I got into this for all the wrong reasons. But, what Satan intended for evil, God has turned into a vehicle for good. He has placed me in a unique position so that I can be a light in a place that, tragically, sees too much darkness.

You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.

Psalms 45:7 | NIV84

I'm not a furry but I've been around them. Exactly where in the Bible does it say being furry is wrong?

It doesn't. I think what I'm hearing is the judgmental voice of Satan. He seems to take pleasure in making me feel unworthy of Jesus' love. He's a tricksy one, he is.

That could be. I don't see how being furry conflicts with being Christian.
